Glipsov M 20/500 Tablet PR is a fixed-dose combination medication containing Metformin 500 mg and Teneligliptin 20 mg, indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Metformin, a biguanide, primarily acts by decreasing hepatic glucose production, improving insulin sensitivity, and enhancing peripheral glucose uptake, thereby aiding in glycemic control. Teneligliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, increases endogenous incretin levels, which in turn stimulate insulin secretion and suppress glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner.

The combination of these agents provides complementary mechanisms to effectively reduce blood glucose levels.
