Gesivan-P Tablet contains a combination of Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg, formulated to provide effective relief from pain and inflammation. Aceclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of the prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The synergistic action of these two agents makes Gesivan-P particularly useful in managing musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other inflammatory conditions. It is also indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain including dental pain, postoperative pain, and dysmenorrhea.
