Gcoxia 120 Tablet contains Etoricoxib 120 mg, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used primarily for the management of pain and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal disorders. It is indicated for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis. By selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, Gcoxia 120 reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in inflammation and pain, thereby providing effective symptomatic relief while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The tablet is intended for oral administration, with dosage tailored according to the severity of symptoms and patient response. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Etoricoxib or other NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer disease, severe hepatic or renal impairment, and in those with established cardiovascular disease unless the benefit outweighs the risk.
