Medical applications
Fedranox 60 Injection contains Enoxaparin 60mg, a low molecular weight heparin used as an anticoagulant to prevent and treat blood clots. It works by inhibiting clotting factors, primarily factor Xa, thereby reducing the formation of harmful clots in blood vessels. Fedranox 60 is commonly prescribed for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) following surgery, including orthopedic procedures such as hip or knee replacement, and for the treatment of acute coronary syndromes like unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction.
It is also used in the management of pulmonary embolism and to prevent clot formation in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Administered via subcutaneous injection, Fedranox 60 offers predictable anticoagulant effects with a lower risk of bleeding compared to unfractionated heparin. Dosage and duration depend on the patient’s condition, weight, and renal function, and careful monitoring is essential to minimize adverse effects such as bleeding or thrombocytopenia.
Patients should inform their healthcare provider of any history of bleeding disorders, allergies, or concurrent medications that may increase bleeding risk. Fedranox 60 Injection should be used under medical supervision to ensure safe and effective anticoagulation therapy.
