How It Works
Diclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which mediate pain and inflammation.
Serratiopeptidase acts as a proteolytic enzyme, breaking down fibrin and other proteins involved in inflammation, thereby reducing pain and swelling.
Paracetamol works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, leading to reduced synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which are responsible for pain and fever.

Esgipyrin SP Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Diclofenac 50 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Serratiopeptidase 10 mg. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), effectively reduces inflammation, pain, and swelling by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic effects through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing Diclofenac’s peripheral action.

Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, facilitates the breakdown of inflammatory mediators and promotes the resolution of edema and tissue repair. This combination is indicated for the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, postoperative pain, inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, and soft tissue injuries. Esgipyrin SP offers synergistic pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects while enhancing tissue healing.
It is generally well-tolerated when used as directed; however, caution is advised in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol. The medication should be administered under medical supervision, adhering to prescribed dosages to minimize adverse effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, hepatotoxicity, or allergic reactions.
