Erycon 500 Tablet contains Erythromycin 500 mg, a macrolide antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacterial infections. It functions by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial growth and replication. Erycon 500 is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, ear infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. It is particularly useful in patients allergic to penicillin.
