Erox CV Dry Syrup is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg per dose, designed for oral administration in pediatric patients. Amoxycillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bactericidal activity against susceptible organisms. Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, protects Amoxycillin from enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, thereby extending its antimicrobial spectrum. Erox CV Dry Syrup is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible strains. The dry syrup formulation allows for easy reconstitution and accurate dosing in children who have difficulty swallowing tablets. It is important to complete the full prescribed course to prevent the development of resistance. The medication should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or beta-lactam antibiotics.
