Eprisan D SR Capsule is a combination medication containing Eperisone 150 mg and Diclofenac 100 mg, formulated for the management of musculoskeletal conditions characterized by muscle spasm and inflammation. Eperisone acts as a centrally acting muscle relaxant, reducing muscle tone by inhibiting spinal reflexes, thereby alleviating muscle stiffness and improving mobility. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), provides potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation.
