Enzoflam-MR Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Thiocolchicoside (4mg), Aceclofenac (100mg), and Paracetamol (325mg). It is primarily indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as muscle spasms, strains, sprains, and osteoarthritis. Thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant by selectively inhibiting glycine receptor-mediated neurotransmission, thereby reducing muscle stiffness and spasms. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to decreased prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides additional analgesic and antipyretic effects through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. The synergistic action of these three components offers effective relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle rigidity. Enzoflam-MR is generally well-tolerated but should be used with caution in patients with hepatic, renal, or cardiovascular impairment, and contraindicated in those with hypersensitivity to any component. It is recommended to administer the tablet with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. This medication should be used under medical supervision, adhering to prescribed dosages to avoid adverse effects such as gastrointestinal irritation, allergic reactions, or potential hepatotoxicity.
