Entmox-LB Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 500 mg, Clavulanic Acid 125 mg, and Lactobacillus 60 million spores, designed to treat a broad spectrum of bacterial infections while supporting gastrointestinal health. Amoxycillin, a beta-lactam antibiotic, exerts bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it effective against various Gram-positive and some Gram-negative organisms. Clavulanic Acid acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing the enzymatic degradation of Amoxycillin by resistant bacteria, thereby extending its antimicrobial spectrum. The inclusion of Lactobacillus, a probiotic, helps restore and maintain normal gut flora, reducing the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disturbances commonly observed during antibiotic therapy. Entmox-LB is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections. It should be used under medical supervision, with dosage adjusted according to the severity of infection and patient-specific factors. Caution is advised in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics.
