Glimepiride IP 1 mg in the immediate-release layer and Metformin Hydrochloride IP 1000 mg in the extended-release layer, with Erythrosine as colour and excipients q.s. The two layers are formed separately, so the immediate-release portion and the extended-release matrix do not interfere with each other.
