Zyolin Nasal Drops contain Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% w/v, a topical nasal decongestant indicated for the relief of nasal congestion associated with common cold, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and other upper respiratory tract conditions. Xylometazoline acts as a selective alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist, producing vasoconstriction of the nasal mucosa blood vessels, thereby reducing swelling and congestion to facilitate easier breathing.

Zyolin Nasal Drops provide rapid onset of action, typically within minutes, and sustained relief lasting up to 10 hours. The formulation is intended for intranasal use in adults and children over the age of 6 years, with dosage and duration carefully adhered to avoid potential adverse effects such as rebound congestion or mucosal irritation. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to xylometazoline or any excipients, and caution is advised in individuals with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes.
Prolonged use beyond 7 consecutive days is not recommended to prevent rhinitis medicamentosa. Common side effects may include nasal dryness, burning, or stinging sensations. Zyolin Nasal Drops should be used under medical supervision, particularly in pediatric populations and patients with pre-existing conditions.
