Zovane 20 is prescribed to alleviate symptoms of depression such as persistent sadness, loss of interest in daily activities, and impaired concentration. The medication should be administered orally, typically once daily with food to enhance absorption and reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Common adverse reactions include nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, and insomnia, which are generally mild and transient.

Caution is advised in patients with a history of bipolar disorder, seizure disorders, or those taking other serotonergic agents due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Zovane 20 should be used under medical supervision, with gradual dose adjustments as needed, and patients should be monitored for clinical improvement as well as any emergent suicidal ideation, especially during the initial treatment phase or dose changes.
