Sertraline functions by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, thereby improving mood, emotional stability, and anxiety symptoms.

Zosert 100 is indicated for adults and should be administered under medical supervision, with dosage adjustments based on therapeutic response and tolerability. Common side effects may include nausea, insomnia, dizziness, dry mouth, and sexual dysfunction, while serious adverse effects such as serotonin syndrome, suicidal ideation, and allergic reactions require immediate medical attention.
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to sertraline or other SSRIs and should be used cautiously in individuals with a history of bipolar disorder or seizure disorders. Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or pimozide is contraindicated due to the risk of severe interactions.
