Zonimid 25 Capsule

Zonimid 25 is typically prescribed as adjunctive therapy in adults and pediatric patients over the age of six years who have refractory partial seizures. The capsule formulation allows for convenient oral administration with good bioavailability. Dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and tolerability, with gradual titration to minimize adverse effects. Common side effects may include dizziness, somnolence, headache, anorexia, and gastrointestinal disturbances.

Rare but serious adverse reactions such as metabolic acidosis, hypersensitivity reactions, and renal calculi have been reported, warranting regular monitoring during therapy.
