Zole-IT 100 Capsule contains Itraconazole 100 mg, a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent indicated for the treatment of various fungal infections. Itraconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. It is effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds, making it suitable for conditions such as onychomycosis, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, and candidiasis.

Zole-IT 100 Capsule is administered orally and exhibits good bioavailability, with absorption enhanced when taken with food. The drug undergoes hepatic metabolism primarily via the cytochrome P450 3A4 enzyme system and has a relatively long half-life, allowing for once or twice daily dosing depending on the indication. Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, and rash, while serious adverse reactions may involve hepatotoxicity and cardiac effects such as congestive heart failure.
