Zocon 200 Tablet

Zocon 200 is commonly prescribed for candidiasis, including oropharyngeal, esophageal, and systemic candidiasis, as well as cryptococcal meningitis. It is also effective against dermatophytic infections and certain systemic mycoses. The tablet is administered orally, with dosage and duration tailored according to the type and severity of infection, patient age, and renal function.

Fluconazole is generally well tolerated; however, potential adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, rash, and, rarely, hepatotoxicity or QT prolongation. Caution is advised in patients with liver impairment or those on medications that may interact with Fluconazole, such as certain antiepileptics, anticoagulants, and statins. Regular monitoring of liver function tests and ECG may be recommended during prolonged therapy.
