How It Works

Zithrovil SF Kit is a combination antimicrobial therapy containing Fluconazole 150 mg, Azithromycin 1000 mg, and Secnidazole 1000 mg, indicated for the treatment of mixed infections involving fungal and bacterial pathogens, as well as protozoal infections. Fluconazole, a triazole antifungal agent, inhibits fungal cytochrome P450 enzymes, disrupting ergosterol synthesis and compromising fungal cell membrane integrity.

Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic, exerts bacteriostatic effects by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Secnidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative, targets anaerobic protozoa and bacteria by inducing DNA strand breakage and inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis. This combination is particularly effective in managing complex infections such as bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, candidiasis, and certain mixed aerobic and anaerobic bacterial infections.
