Miconazole nitrate, an imidazole antifungal agent, inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes, thereby exhibiting broad-spectrum antifungal activity against dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. Neomycin sulfate, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, provides antibacterial coverage primarily against gram-negative organisms by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
The synergistic combination in Zingzang Cream makes it suitable for treating mixed infections where inflammation, fungal, and bacterial pathogens coexist, such as in complicated eczema, tinea infections with secondary bacterial colonization, and other resistant dermatoses. It should be applied topically as directed by a healthcare professional, avoiding prolonged use to minimize potential adverse effects including skin atrophy, irritation, and sensitization.
Zingzang Cream is contraindicated in viral infections, hypersensitivity to any component, and should be used cautiously in pediatric and pregnant patients.
