Adapalene (1mg) + Nadifloxacin (10mg)
Active composition
+1 more active ingredient
Nadifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase, preventing DNA replication and leading to bacterial cell death.
Medical applications
Zinderm-AN Gel is a topical dermatological formulation combining Nadifloxacin (10 mg) and Adapalene (1 mg) designed for the effective management of acne vulgaris. Nadifloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, targets and inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase, thereby reducing Propionibacterium acnes colonization and preventing secondary bacterial infections commonly associated with acne lesions. Adapalene, a third-generation synthetic retinoid, modulates keratinization and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by selectively binding to retinoic acid receptors, promoting normalization of follicular epithelial desquamation and preventing comedone formation. The synergistic action of these active ingredients results in a comprehensive approach to acne treatment, addressing both microbial proliferation and abnormal follicular keratinization. Zinderm-AN Gel is indicated for mild to moderate inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions, including comedones, papules, and pustules. It is generally well tolerated; however, initial application may cause mild erythema, dryness, or irritation, which typically diminish with continued use. Patients should apply a thin layer once daily to affected areas after cleansing. Use of sunscreen is recommended during therapy to minimize photosensitivity. Zinderm-AN Gel should be used under medical supervision, particularly in patients with sensitive skin or a history of hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones or retinoids.
