This dual-action formulation is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of cough associated with upper respiratory tract infections, allergic rhinitis, and other conditions where cough and allergy coexist. Zedex Cough Syrup is suitable for use in adults and children as per the recommended dosage. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its components, and those with respiratory conditions such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or other central nervous system depressants should be avoided due to potential interactions. Patients are advised to follow the prescribed dosage and consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist beyond one week or worsen.
