Clonazepam, a benzodiazepine, exerts its effect by enhancing the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), providing anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, and muscle relaxant properties.

The controlled-release formulation ensures a gradual release of active ingredients, promoting sustained therapeutic effects and minimizing fluctuations in plasma concentration. Zaling Forte Tablet CR is indicated for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder, particularly when symptoms of anxiety and depression coexist.
It should be used under strict medical supervision due to potential side effects such as sedation, dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, and the risk of dependence associated with clonazepam. Dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to either component, concurrent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), and pregnancy.
