Zaclo-S Ointment is a topical formulation containing Clobetasol propionate 0.05% w/w and Salicylic Acid 6% w/w, indicated for the management of various inflammatory and hyperkeratotic dermatological conditions. Clobetasol propionate, a potent corticosteroid, exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects, effectively reducing redness, swelling, and itching associated with dermatoses.

Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic agent, promoting the exfoliation of hyperkeratotic skin and facilitating the penetration of the corticosteroid. This combination is particularly useful in treating psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, and other hyperkeratotic inflammatory skin disorders. Zaclo-S Ointment should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare professional.
Prolonged use or application over large areas should be avoided to minimize the risk of systemic absorption and potential corticosteroid-related adverse effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression. Use is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation, and it should not be applied to infected or ulcerated skin.
Caution is advised during pregnancy and lactation. Patient adherence to prescribed duration and frequency of application is essential to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes while minimizing side effects.
