Zaclo-G Cream

Gentamicin provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against susceptible Gram-negative and some Gram-positive organisms by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, helping to prevent or treat secondary infections in compromised skin. Zaclo-G Cream is typically applied in a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily, depending on clinical severity and physician recommendation.

Use should be limited to short-term therapy due to the risk of corticosteroid-related adverse effects, including skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and potential systemic absorption. It is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or mycobacterial skin infections unless combined antibiotic therapy is warranted. Patients should avoid occlusive dressings unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Caution is advised in pediatric and elderly populations. Regular monitoring is recommended to assess therapeutic response and minimize adverse effects.
