Xylone Adult Nasal Spray contains Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% w/v, a topical decongestant used for the relief of nasal congestion associated with common cold, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis. Xylometazoline acts as a selective alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist, causing vasoconstriction of the nasal mucosal blood vessels, thereby reducing swelling and promoting improved nasal airflow.

This rapid onset of action provides symptomatic relief within minutes, lasting up to 10-12 hours. Xylone Adult Nasal Spray is intended for use in adults and should be administered as directed, typically 1-2 sprays in each nostril twice daily. Prolonged or excessive use beyond 7 consecutive days is not recommended due to the risk of rebound congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa) and potential mucosal damage.
Patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes should use this product with caution and under medical supervision. Common adverse effects may include nasal dryness, irritation, or sneezing. It is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to xylometazoline or any excipients. Xylone Adult Nasal Spray should not be used concurrently with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within 14 days of their discontinuation.
