Xoten A 20 Capsule contains a combination of Rosuvastatin 20 mg and Aspirin 75 mg, formulated to manage cardiovascular risks in patients with hyperlipidemia and a history of cardiovascular events. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol by inhibiting the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis, thereby reducing the risk of atherosclerosis and related complications. Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent, irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), leading to decreased thromboxane A2 production and prevention of platelet aggregation, which reduces the risk of thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke. The combination therapy is indicated for secondary prevention in patients with established cardiovascular disease and for primary prevention in high-risk individuals. Xoten A 20 Capsule should be administered once daily, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. Caution is advised in patients with bleeding disorders, hepatic impairment, or active peptic ulcer disease.
