Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1), reducing airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction commonly observed in asthma and allergic rhinitis. The synergistic action of these agents provides comprehensive relief from both upper and lower respiratory allergic manifestations. XL Mont Syrup is indicated for pediatric patients requiring effective symptom control of allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, and mild to moderate asthma.
