Paroxetine functions by increasing the levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter, in the brain, thereby helping to restore the balance of serotonin and improve mood, anxiety, and overall mental state.

Xet 10 is typically administered orally once daily, with or without food, and dosage adjustments are made based on clinical response and tolerability. Common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, somnolence, and sexual dysfunction, which usually diminish with continued use. It is essential to monitor patients for any signs of worsening depression, suicidal ideation, or unusual behavioral changes, especially during the initial treatment period or dosage modifications.
Caution is advised when used concomitantly with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), other serotonergic drugs, or anticoagulants due to the risk of serotonin syndrome or bleeding complications. Xet 10 should be used under medical supervision, with gradual dose tapering recommended upon discontinuation to minimize withdrawal symptoms. This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Paroxetine or any excipients.
