Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal agent that disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and cell death. Xenaclin-V3 is indicated for the management of infections where both bacterial and fungal pathogens are implicated, such as complicated skin and soft tissue infections, certain gynecological infections, and mixed oral infections.
