It is indicated for the management of various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, allergic reactions, and certain respiratory disorders such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Deflazacort exerts its therapeutic effects by modulating the immune response and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing tissue inflammation and immune system overactivity. Wyflaz 6 is also employed in the treatment of specific muscular dystrophies to improve muscle strength and function. The medication should be administered under strict medical supervision, with dosage tailored to the individual patient’s condition, severity, and response to therapy. Caution is advised in patients with infections, diabetes, hypertension, or osteoporosis, as corticosteroids may exacerbate these conditions.
