Chlorpheniramine Maleate is a first-generation antihistamine that competitively blocks H1 histamine receptors, thereby alleviating symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itching, and watery eyes associated with allergic rhinitis and other hypersensitivity reactions.

Phenylephrine is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a decongestant by constricting dilated arterioles in the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and nasal congestion. Welminic Oral Drops are indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis, common cold symptoms, sinusitis, and other upper respiratory tract allergies where nasal congestion and histamine-mediated symptoms are present.
The oral drop formulation allows for precise dosing, making it suitable for pediatric and adult use under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, or glaucoma, and concurrent use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) is contraindicated. Adverse effects may include drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, and increased blood pressure.
