Oxabenz 100 Injection contains Oxaliplatin at a concentration of 2 mg/ml, a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent indicated primarily for the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. Oxaliplatin exerts its antineoplastic effect by forming platinum-DNA adducts, leading to inhibition of DNA synthesis and function, ultimately inducing apoptosis in malignant cells. This agent is commonly administered intravenously, often in combination with fluoropyrimidine-based chemotherapy regimens such as FOLFOX.

Oxabenz 100 Injection is indicated for use in patients with metastatic colorectal carcinoma and as adjuvant therapy following surgical resection of stage III colon cancer. Dosage and administration should be individualized based on patient condition, renal function, and hematologic parameters, with careful monitoring for adverse effects. Common adverse reactions include peripheral neuropathy, myelosuppression, gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as hypersensitivity reactions.
Oxabenz 100 Injection is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to platinum compounds and should be used cautiously in patients with pre-existing neuropathy or impaired hepatic or renal function. Adequate hydration and antiemetic prophylaxis are recommended to mitigate toxicity.
