Opimont-L Tablet contains Levocetirizine 5mg and Montelukast 10mg, a combination therapy indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis and asthma. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby alleviating symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and itching associated with allergic conditions.

Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the action of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators involved in bronchoconstriction, mucus production, and airway edema. The synergistic effect of these two agents provides comprehensive relief from both upper and lower respiratory allergic manifestations. Opimont-L is particularly beneficial for patients requiring control of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis concomitant with asthma or exercise-induced bronchospasm.
The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, preferably in the evening, to optimize symptom control over a 24-hour period. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic impairment, and the drug should be used under medical supervision in pediatric and elderly populations. Common adverse effects include headache, fatigue, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal disturbances, which are generally mild and transient.
