Odicon-K Lotion is a topical antifungal formulation containing Ketoconazole 2% w/v and Zinc Pyrithione 1% w/v, indicated for the treatment of various superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, pityriasis versicolor, and seborrheic dermatitis. Ketoconazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, exerts its effect by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, a critical component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting fungal cell integrity and leading to cell death.
