Rabeprazole acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion. This reduction in acid production provides symptomatic relief and promotes healing in conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and peptic ulcer disease, including Helicobacter pylori-associated ulcers when used in combination therapy. Nvronrabi is also employed for the prevention of gastric ulcers induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The 20mg dosage is typically administered once daily, preferably before meals, to optimize efficacy.
