Notacid 40 Tablet contains Esomeprazole 40mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the treatment of various gastric and duodenal ulcers, erosive esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the proton pump in the stomach parietal cells. Notacid is also used for short-term treatment of reflux esophagitis and long-term maintenance therapy for pathological hypersecretory conditions. It should be taken orally, once daily, before a meal.
