Nexpro 40 Tablet, containing 40mg of Esomeprazole, is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) indicated for the short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcers, benign gastric ulcers, and erosive esophagitis, as well as for the long-term treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis. It works by decreasing the amount of acid produced by the stomach, providing relief from symptoms such as heartburn, acid regurgitation, and painful swallowing. It is also used for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Nexpro should be taken orally, preferably 30 minutes before meals.
