Ferric Carboxymaltose (750mg)
Active composition
Ferric Carboxymaltose releases iron ions, which are incorporated into hemoglobin and used for erythropoiesis.
Medical applications
Nefcm 750mg Injection is a ferrous preparation containing Ferric Carboxymaltose (750mg/2mL). It is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in adults and children over 6 years old when oral iron is not suitable or tolerated. Nefcm provides an effective and well-tolerated solution to replenish iron stores, with a reduced risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to oral iron supplements. The solution should be administered slowly intravenously over a period of at least 15 minutes. Routine monitoring of iron parameters and hemoglobin levels is recommended during treatment. As with all parenteral iron therapy, Nefcm should be used with caution in patients with hypersensitivity to ferric or iron compounds.
