Montral Tablet is a combination medication comprising Levocetirizine (5mg) and Montelukast (10mg), designed to provide effective relief from symptoms of allergic rhinitis and asthma. The tablet is indicated for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, and mild to moderate asthma. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, blocks the action of histamine on its receptors, thereby reducing the symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and itchy, watery eyes. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, inhibits the action of leukotrienes, potent mediators of inflammation and bronchoconstriction, thereby reducing the symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis, including bronchospasm, wheezing, and cough. The combination of Levocetirizine and Montelukast provides a synergistic effect, offering improved relief from symptoms and a reduced need for rescue medications. Montral Tablet is available in a once-daily dosage form and is suitable for adult and pediatric patients aged 6 years and above.

How to use Montral Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Montral Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
