Montina 4 Tablet is a prescription-only medication containing the active ingredient montelukast sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It is indicated for the treatment of asthma, including exercise-induced bronchospasm, and for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. Montina 4 Tablet works by blocking the action of leukotriene D4, a chemical mediator that can cause bronchoconstriction and increased mucus production.

By reducing the effects of leukotriene D4, Montina 4 Tablet helps to relieve symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis, such as wheezing, coughing, and sneezing. It is available in a tablet form and should be taken once daily, at bedtime, to allow for maximum exposure to the medication during the night. The recommended starting dose is 4mg, which is the strength provided in each tablet.
Montina 4 Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a history of cholestasis or hepatitis associated with previous use of montelukast. As with all medications, Montina 4 Tablet should be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional and as directed.
