Monticope Suspension is a combination medication indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It contains a fixed dose combination of levocetirizine dihydrochloride (2.5mg/5ml) and montelukast sodium (4mg/5ml) in a sugar-free, citrus-flavored suspension. Levocetirizine, a histamine receptor antagonist, relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria, including sneezing, runny nose, and skin itching.

Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, inhibits the production of cysteinyl leukotrienes, which are potent mediators of inflammation and bronchoconstriction. The combination therapy provides rapid and sustained relief from symptoms, including nasal congestion, rhinitis, and skin reactions. Monticope Suspension is administered orally, twice daily, and is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
As with all medications, patients should be advised of the potential risks and benefits and monitored for adverse reactions, particularly in pediatric and elderly populations.
Dosage & How to Use
How can I give Monticope Suspension to my child? Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Monticope Suspension may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
