It is indicated for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients 6 months of age and older with seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, provides rapid and sustained relief from symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and skin rashes. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the action of leukotrienes, which are involved in allergic reactions, providing additional relief from symptoms such as nasal congestion, cough, and sore throat. The combination of these two active ingredients in Montes LC 5mg/10mg Tablet offers a comprehensive approach to treating allergic rhinitis and urticaria, providing fast and effective relief from a range of symptoms.
