Montek LC Kid Tablet is a fixed-dose combination medication containing levocetirizine dihydrate (2.5mg) and montelukast sodium (4mg), indicated for the treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria in pediatric patients aged 6 to 11 years. The combination of levocetirizine, a histamine H1-receptor antagonist, and montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, provides a synergistic effect in reducing symptoms of allergic rhinitis and urticaria. In clinical trials, Montek LC Kid Tablet demonstrated significant improvement in nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy nose, as well as reduction in wheal and flare response. The product is available in a child-friendly tablet form, making it easy to administer and monitor. The recommended dose is one tablet once daily. Montek LC Kid Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
