Monteder-L 5mg/10mg Tablet is a combination medication containing levocetirizine (5mg) and montelukast (10mg) used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, relieves symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and nasal congestion. Montelukast, an leukotriene receptor antagonist, inhibits the release of chemical mediators that cause bronchoconstriction and inflammation, thereby alleviating symptoms of asthma and chronic urticaria. This combination medication provides a synergistic effect, offering enhanced relief from allergic rhinitis and urticaria symptoms compared to using either medication alone. The tablet is taken once daily and is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and above. It is recommended to take Monteder-L with or without food, as needed, for symptom relief.
