Medical applications
Monteday-LC Tablet is a combination product containing levocetirizine dihydrochloride (5mg) and montelukast sodium (10mg) indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, inhibits the release of histamine and other chemical mediators, whereas montelukast, an leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the actions of leukotrienes, potent inflammatory mediators. This combination therapy provides dual symptomatic relief, targeting both the histamine-mediated and leukotriene-mediated pathways. Monteday-LC Tablet is effective in reducing nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and hives associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. In patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria, Monteday-LC Tablet also helps to reduce the frequency and severity of hives. The recommended adult dose is one tablet once daily. Monteday-LC Tablet may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and headache, but these effects are generally mild and temporary. As with any medication, patients should consult a healthcare professional before using Monteday-LC Tablet, especially if they have a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or are taking other medications.
