Monteclone-LC Tablet is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine (5mg) and Montelukast (10mg). It is indicated for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Levocetirizine, an H1-receptor antagonist, provides effective relief from symptoms such as itching, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the action of leukotrienes, which are chemical mediators involved in allergic reactions. The combination of these two active ingredients provides a synergistic effect, offering enhanced efficacy and broader spectrum of therapeutic benefits. Monteclone-LC Tablet is available in a standardized dosage form and should be taken once daily, either in the morning or evening.
