Each 5ml dose contains 2.5mg of levocetirizine, a histamine H1 receptor antagonist, and 4mg of montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist. This unique combination therapy provides rapid and sustained relief from symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and skin hives. The syrup is also effective in reducing itching, swelling, and erythema associated with urticaria. Monte-L Syrup is administered orally, 5ml once daily, with or without food. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levocetirizine or montelukast, as well as in those with severe hepatic impairment.
