This syrup is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in children 2 to 11 years of age. The product combines the histamine H1 receptor antagonist activity of levocetirizine with the leukotriene receptor antagonist activity of montelukast. The levocetirizine component provides 24-hour relief of symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes, and itching of the nose and throat. The montelukast component helps to reduce airway constriction and inflammation, providing additional relief from nasal congestion, cough, and wheezing. The recommended dose is 5ml every 12 hours, not to exceed 10ml in a 24-hour period. The syrup is available in a 60ml bottle and is flavored with a sweet, fruity taste. Montair LC Kid Syrup is contraindicated in children with a known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
