Monsam Tablet is a combination product containing Levocetirizine 5mg and Montelukast 10mg, indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and asthma. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, provides effective relief from symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, helps to prevent bronchospasm, inflammation, and constriction of airways. The combination of these two agents offers comprehensive relief from allergic symptoms, including nasal congestion, sinus pressure, and cough. In patients with asthma, Monsam Tablet helps to reduce bronchial constriction, alleviate bronchospasm, and prevent exacerbations. The recommended dose is one tablet once daily. Monsam Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to either component, and caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic impairment.
