Fusidic Acid inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by interfering with the function of elongation factor G, thereby preventing bacterial growth.
Mometasone inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators, reducing inflammation and immune response.
Medical applications
Momoreate-F Cream is a topical corticosteroid and antifungal combination product indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe inflammatory and/or pruritic skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis. The cream contains mometasone, a potent corticosteroid, and fusidic acid, an antimycotic agent, in a ratio of 0.1% w/w mometasone and 2% w/w fusidic acid. The corticosteroid component helps to reduce inflammation, itching, and erythema, while the antifungal component inhibits the growth of susceptible fungi. The cream is applied topically to the affected area in a thin layer, two to three times daily, as needed, and should be used for up to two weeks unless a physician recommends otherwise. Momoreate-F Cream is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components and should be used with caution in patients with a history of tuberculosis, glaucoma, or cataracts. As with any topical corticosteroid, potential side effects may include skin irritation, dryness, and telangiectasia.
